1. About these Terms
These Terms govern your use of the Maren Health application and related website and services provided by Maren Health Ltd (company number 17425009), 89 Hersham Close, Roehampton, London SW15 4JQ, United Kingdom.
2. Eligibility
Maren is intended for people aged 18 and over. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement.
3. Maren is a fitness and wellness service
Maren provides strength-training and wellness recommendations. It is not a medical device and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment or professional medical advice. You are responsible for deciding whether an activity is appropriate for you. Stop exercising and seek appropriate medical help if you experience concerning symptoms, injury, severe pain or another circumstance requiring medical attention.
4. Daily check-in and personalised recommendations
Each morning, Maren asks four questions about sleep duration, sleep quality, muscle soreness and how you felt the previous day. Maren’s current rule-based recommendation system may use those answers and relevant training information to generate a Hard, Light or Rest recommendation. Recommendations are fitness and wellness guidance. You remain responsible for deciding whether to follow them.
5. Connected health services
Where supported and authorised, Maren can read sleep information from Apple Health/HealthKit and Google Health Connect. The current functionality is read-only. Your use of Apple or Google services is also subject to their own terms and policies. Revoking a platform permission may prevent Maren from receiving further information from that source.
6. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You must not share your account in a way that allows another person to access the Service as you. Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users or our systems.
7. Subscriptions and free trial
Maren may offer a 14-day free trial to eligible new subscribers. After the trial, the selected subscription renews according to the terms shown at the time of purchase unless cancelled. Current listed pricing is £19.99 per month or £149 per year, subject to the price and terms shown in the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play purchase flow. Subscription payments are handled through Apple App Store or Google Play Billing. Maren does not store full payment-card details.
8. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel a subscription through the platform through which you subscribed. Cancellation, renewal and refund processes are subject to the applicable store rules and mandatory consumer rights. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the Service, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its security or operation, reverse engineer it except where permitted by law, copy or commercially exploit it without permission, or use the Service unlawfully or in a way that infringes another person’s rights.
10. Intellectual property
Maren and its licensors retain intellectual-property rights in the App, website, branding, software, content and underlying technology, except for rights that belong to third parties or that you retain in information you provide. You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
11. Availability and changes
We may update, suspend or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance or product development. We will not exclude mandatory consumer rights.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Notice explains how we process personal and health-related information. It is separate from these Terms. Where health-data processing relies on consent, that consent is separate from acceptance of these Terms.
13. Future features
Maren may introduce new features, including personalised historical insights and a Personal Health & Training Report. Future features may be subject to additional information, consent or updated terms before they are introduced.
14. No user-generated content provision
Maren currently does not provide a feature for users to publish or share user-generated content with other users. If this changes, these Terms will be reviewed and updated as appropriate.
15. Liability and statutory rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or mandatory consumer rights.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you in your country of residence.
